Helping Young Athletes Reach Their Full Potential
Simplot Australia’s John West brand has been proudly supporting young athletes from the Victorian Institute of Sport since 2014. This year we are delighted to launch the “Recipe for Success” video series that will profile young athletes in the build up to the Commonwealth Games.
Each episode will give viewers an insight into the daily lives of elite VIS athletes and will feature John West recipes individually matched to the nutritional needs of each athlete.
Victorian Institute of Sport CEO Anne Marie Harrison said “The video series reflects how highly nutrition is valued here at the Victorian Institute of Sport. Good nutrition is key in succeeding in both sport and life, and John West does a great job helping to fuel our world-class athletes.”
John West first collaborated with the VIS as a sponsor in 2014, initially supporting the successful VIS cycling program, which has produced outstanding cyclists such as Simon Gerrans, Lucas Hamilton and Kelland O’Brien.
Graham Dugdale, Managing Director of Simplot Australia, said “We are proud to be supporting young athletes that are working hard to reach their full potential. The launch of the video series helps demonstrate the important role that good nutrition plays in achieving sporting success.”
The “Recipe for Success” video series will be launched on the 26th of February in the build up to the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
