Bathurst Environmental Management System
The Environmental Management System of the Bathurst site applies to all activities, products and services conducted within the geographical boundaries of the Bathurst site including processing, packaging and storage of products at Bathurst.
Off-site activities associated with raising raw materials, the supply/transport of raw materials, the manufacture and supply of ingredients, packaging and operating supplies and the removal of products from the site do not form a part of the scope. These activities, along with the disposal of packaging and waste materials are however a part of the life cycle aspects relevant to our business and are considered in the environmental aspects and impacts analysis.
The scope of the EMS incorporates the need to meet all regulatory requirements set by government and semi-government bodies and the environmental expectations and needs of our customers. We acknowledge that the requirements of all interested parties are generally increasing and commit to include these changes into the scope as required and where we have authority to influence them. We respect the needs and expectations of the community and will attempt to meet them but where they fall outside regulatory requirements do not guarantee to do so.
The scope of the EMS was developed in consultation with the National Environment Manager, the Bathurst Regional Environment Coordinator, the Devonport OHSE Manager and the Bathurst Site Management team.
